On behalf of the residents, staff and elected officials I want to be the first to thank you for visiting the City’s Web Site. The City of Iowa Falls is located on the banks of the beautiful Iowa River and is home to numerous sites that make the “Scenic City” a destination community. While in Iowa Falls you can visit the unique Scenic City Boat Club and traverse the beautiful Iowa River on the Empress Riverboat. You can satisfy your creative side by visiting the Carnegie Ellsworth Building, home to the Pat Clark Art Collection and the Iowa Falls Historical Museum or you can visit one of our numerous historical sites including the newly renovated Train Depot and Mills Tower. For those of you who enjoy outdoor recreation you can visit one of our many City parks, the Swinging Bridge over the Iowa River or the Meyer Municipal Aquatic Center. While in Iowa Falls you can also dine at one of our many restaurants including Porter’s on Main, Camp David, Clark and Addison, McDonald’s, River City Custard, Out South, Dairy Queen, Red Rooster, Pizza Hut, Subway, Oak Street Deli, Taco Johns, Pizza Ranch, HyVee, Heavenly Sweet Confections or the historic Princess Café among others!
Our City Web Site has information that is useful to current and past residents as well as those of you thinking about moving to the Scenic City. There is information about the duties of all City departments and contact information for each, garbage collection schedules, water and sewer rates, maps of the City, local weather and downloadable permit applications from our City Building and Zoning Department, among others. This site will be continually updated to provide new upgrades so it will be more useful to the public.
Again, I want to thank you for visiting the City of Iowa Falls Web Site and if you have any questions please always feel free to email me at rblaval@iowaconnect.com.
Mayor Rocky Lavalle
