The street department maintains nearly 50 miles of streets. This maintenance over a 12-month period includes snow removal, ice control, street sweeping, striping, pothole repairs, cleaning catch basins, resurfacing, curb and gutter repair, storm maintenance, weed control, signage, dust control, mosquito control, tree removal, assisting other city departments as needed, building maintenance, dead animal disposal and grading gravel roads and alleys.
