The Park Board regular meeting is every second Tuesday of each month. The Board meets at 7:00 p.m. at 724 Cedar Street in the Fitz Riverbend house.

The Iowa Falls Parks & Recreation Board is Looking for Your Help

Citizens, groups, or organizations are welcome to adopt a favorite park area and become involved in the protection, maintenance and development of your city's outdoor recreation resources. Interested citizens may contact the Parks & Recreation Board at 648-3691 for more information.

Iowa Falls Tree Board

The Iowa Falls Tree Board was established in June of 1991 to provide the community assistance in areas of planning, planting and care. Tree permits are available at City Hall and there is no fee for permission to plant or remove trees in the parking area along out city streets.

Park Shelter Reservations

The park shelters located throughout the various parks in the city are available for your company picnics or weekend outings. Contact City Halls at 648-2527 for further information on reserving a park shelter.

Assembly Park, established April 22, 1969, is located on Mildred Avenue on the Iowa River.

Foster Park, established April 23, 1935, i slocated on Dale Drive on the Iowa River.

Ellsworth Parks was established at approximately the turn of the century and is located along Park Avenue oon the Iowa river.

Oak Park, established November 24, 10902, is located along park Avenue.

Estes Park, established October 14, 1890, is located on Estes Street.

Julia O' Neil Park, established July 4, 1984, is located on Rocksylvania Avenue.

Jones Park, established September 22, 1934, is located on Rocksylvania Avenue.

Rock Run Park, established September 22, 1934, is located on Rocksylvania Avenue.

Sunnyside park, established October 27, 1975, is located on Highway 65 South.

Linear Park was established in Part on December 27, 1912, and the other part on February 5, 1898, lcated on Foster Boulevard and Park Avenue.

Legin Field has been leased fromn the American Legion Hyman-Peavy Post #188 since September 30, 1978 ad is located on Washington Avenue.

WestSide Rest Area was established June 22, 1983, and is located on Washington Avenue.

Fitz Riverbend Park was established December 27, 1863, and is located on Cedar Street.

North Park was established May 18, 1963, and is located on Woodland Avenue.

Dougan's Landing was established June 8, 1953, and is located on River Street.

Weaver's Cove was establish August 6, 1990, and is located on River Road.

Paradise park, the site of a skate park and BMX trail, was established April 18, 2005, and is located on South River Street.
