Building and Zoning Department's office hours are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.    Monday through Friday.

The building and zoning department performs all inspections required by the code of ordinances relating to electrical inspections, mechanical inspections, building inspections and plumbing inspections for new constructions, additions and replacements. The building and zoning department is responsible for the administration of the zoning and subdivision laws of the city or for any areas under jurisdiction of the city. The building and zoning department also administers licensing required in Chapter 157, 159, 160 and 161 of the code of ordinances.
